Mid-Winter's Double Steal is the first short story of the Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens Extra Games anthology. Originally published in the August 2014 edition of Dengeki Bunko magazine, a half year after the publication of the first light novel, it was written in an introductory style for those who had not read the first Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens volume. It takes place the winter following the first light novel.
